Grey Box™ Westringia is a national finalist

The 2015 Nursery & Garden Awards national finalists have been announced and Grey Box™ Westringia fruticosa ‘WES04’ PBR by Ozbreed has been nominated for Plant of The Year.

The other finalists for Plant of The Year are:

Anisodontea Slightly Strawberry capensis hybrid ‘Cape Mallow’ by the Australian Perennial Group

Daphne ‘Spring Pink Eternal Fragrance’ by Plants Management Australia

New Guinea Impatiens Florific Series by Syngenta

The winners for all categories will be announced at the industry’s night of nights on 24 March 2015 at the award winning Fenix Restaurant in Richmond, VIC. Hosted by Industry’s good time gardener and social superhero, Matthew Carroll, this year’s Gala Dinner will be a party to honour the best in 2015 and to remember the greats from the previous 20 years.
Grey Box™ Westringia has an extremely compact form and is a perfect native compliment to Ozbreed Aussie Box® Westringia.

With all year round grey foliage and white flowers from September through to May, it provides great colour contrast.

It makes a great hedge plant, works fantastic in borders, containers and in mass plantings or you can just leave Grey Box™ Westringia unpruned in its natural ball shape. It is a great drought and frost tolerant alternative to English Box.

To give you an idea of its size, unpruned Grey Box™ Westringia will grow to 30 – 45cm high x 30 – 45cm wide and when pruned it will grow to 30cm high x 30cm wide. It likes full sun to light shade and will suit most soil types.

Grey Box™ Westringia will work in QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS, SA & WA.
